Last Updated 11/17/2009

Dear Valued Merchant,

Volusion has entered a partnership with Rackspace Email in order to improve e-mail hosting services for use with Volusion's award winning e-commerce system.

Currently, Volusion has begun upgrading its e-mail systems to be hosted with Rackspace Email. Included with this upgrade, e-mail account storage will be increased to up to 500MB per email address.

This article will detail information on how you can access your Volusion e-mail account from Volusion's upgraded webmail interface, now powered by Rackspace Email.

Logging Into Webmail:

You can access your Volusion webmail at volusion.Rackspace Email. From the initial webmail login screen, simply enter your e-mail address and password and click "Log In".

Webmail Overview:

Once you've logged into your Volusion webmail account, you will be able to view, compose and reply to messages from the webmail interface's main menu.

Similar to POP client programs such as Microsoft Outlook, you can view any e-mail by clicking on the message you wish to view within the interface's main window.

You can organize your messages with the default Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Spam and Trash folders within the left hand portion of the webmail interface.

Managing E-mail Folders:

You can use the e-mail folders listed on the left hand portion of the webmail interface to organize your messages. By default your account will be equipped with Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Spam and Trash folders.

You can create your own custom folders to organize your messages by clicking on the plus icon at the top of this section.

Additionally, clicking the configuration icon will allow you to manage your folders, including allowing you to add or delete folders, move messages from one folder to another and even view an up-to-date listing of the amount of messages you have stored in each folder in your e-mail account.

Managing Contacts:

You can click on the Contacts tab near the top of the page to view and manage any saved contacts you have for your e-mail account.

Please note that by default, once your webmail account has been upgraded by Volusion, you will need to import any previous contacts you have maintained into your upgraded webmail interface. Please see this article from Volusion's online knowledge base for more information:

You can add contacts from this tab by clicking on the Add Contacts button and entering your contact information into the pop-up form.

Clicking on the Add Group button will allow you to select a series of your saved contacts and assign them to a specific group, which you can then use to e-mail a select number of your saved contacts at once.

Finally, you can import saved contacts into your webmail interface using the Import/Export function near the top of this section. Please see the following article from Volusion's online knowledge base for more information: Importing Webmail Contacts.

Managing Calendars:

By clicking on the Calendar tab, you can quickly view, create and edit listings of important events month-by-month.

Click on the Add Event button to create a new instance of an event for your calendar. Events can be assigned different time periods as well as be configured to provide reminders as well as invite guests or attendees.

Similar to importing e-mail contacts, you can click on the Import button near the top of the page to import a list of events to your calendar, saved in a .CSV file.

You can also maintain multiple calendars. Click on the plus icon just about your list of calendars within the left-hand navigation menu of the interface to create additional, custom calendars.

Finally, you can further manage and remove existing calendars from your webmail interface by clicking on the configuration icon within the left-hand navigation menu of the interface.

Managing Tasks:

By clicking on the Tasks tab near the top of the webmail interface, you can create and manage lists of tasks or to-do lists.

You can add a new task by entering the task title into the form at the top of the page and clicking Add.

You can then mark off any tasks you have completed by clicking on the check mark to the left of any task name.

To remove any task from your list, click the checkbox next to any task and then click Delete.

You can create and manage additional lists of tasks by clicking on the administration controls at the top of the left-hand navigation portion of this page.

Administration Settings:

In addition to navigating and using your upgraded webmail account, click on the Settings link near the top right of the page to administer you overall webmail account's behavior.

Here, you can edit your webmail account's general settings, configure auto-reply messages, forwarding and e-mail filters and set up how your account manages spam.
